Minor Accused in Nuh Violence Case Acquitted Family Expresses Gratitude to Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind President Maulana Mahmood Asad Madani New Delhi, November 22: In connection with the unfortunate communal violence that erupted in Nuh, Haryana, on July 31, 2023, the police arrested several individuals, including a minor from Bhadas village. The minor was booked under FIR No. 142 at Nagina police station. Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, which has played a pivotal role in rehabilitating riot victims and restoring damaged mosques, also extended legal aid to the innocent arrested individuals. Under the guidance of its president, Maulana Mahmood Asad Madani, legal teams have been pursuing these cases. As a result of their efforts, 589 individuals were granted bail last year, although their cases are still under trial. Today, the Juvenile Justice Court under the Additional Civil Judge, acquitted the minor from Bhadas, ruling that the minor had no involvement in the riots. In its judgment (Case File No. 8241/2024), the court emphasized that this minor could not be punished for a crime he did not commit. Advocate Tahir Rupadiya represented him in the court. The family of the minor, particularly his father Mr. Asrauddin, a borewell mechanic by profession, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind and Maulana Mahmood Madani. He stated, “The legal support and guidance provided by JUH were instrumental in securing justice for my son.” Maulana Hakeemuddin Qasmi, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, and Maulana Yahya Kareemi, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama Haryana, Punjab and Himachal pradesh, welcomed the verdict and described it as a triumph of the judicial system and justice.
