DC, SSP Kupwara Visit Seemari, Console Bereaved Families; Authorities Ensured Swift Rescue and Treatment for Injured/// KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 28: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Shrikant Suse and SSP Kupwara Syed Al-Tahir Gilani today visited Seemari in Karnah Sub-Division, where a tragic road accident claimed five lives and left several others injured. Following the accident, the District Administration and Kupwara police launched a swift rescue operation,comprising teams from the civil administration, police, the Indian Army and emergency services. All passengers were evacuated and rushed to SDH Tangdhar, where five were declared brought dead. After medico-legal formalities, the bodies were handed over to their families for last rites. Six injured passengers were stabilized and referred to GMC Handwara.Senior officers from district administration and police visited GMC to monitor situation. During the visit, the DC and the SSP inspected the accident site, took stock of the situation and met the bereaved families. They expressed deep grief extended heartfelt condolences and assured the families of all possible support from the District Administration

The protesting employees said they were facing financial hardships due to low wages and were struggling to support their families amid rising Jabbar appealed to the government to address the genuine concerns of daily wagers and take concrete steps towards their regularisation. He said that employees receiving only a few hundred rupees in wages cannot manage their families in the present era of rising living costs. Jabbar urged the government to provide a written assurance regarding regularisation, even if the process is carried out in a phased manner. He also appealed to MLAs to raise the issues of daily wagers in the Legislative Assembly and said their concerns should be given due attention. Jabbar appeals to the government to initiate the process of regularising daily wagers and provide them a clear and written assurance regarding their future.
