MP Er Rashid Approves ₹38.87 Lakh for Water Supply Works in Kupwara District under MPLADS Srinagar, March 11: Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi said that Member of Parliament from Baramulla Er Rashid has approved ₹38.87 lakh for various drinking water related works in Kupwara district under the MPLADS scheme. In a statement, Inam Un Nabi said that the Office of the District Development Commissioner Kupwara has accorded administrative approval for these works on the recommendation of MP Er Rashid to strengthen drinking water supply in different areas of the district. He said that ₹30 lakh has been approved for the supply of a prefabricated 9 KL capacity water tanker mounted on truck chassis for PHE Division Handwara, which will help the department respond effectively to water shortages and provide drinking water to affected areas when required. Inam Un Nabi further said that providing, laying and fitting of 80mm GI pipes for village Dardpora in Trehgam constituency has also been approved at an estimated cost of ₹6.87 lakh, which will improve the water supply network and benefit the local residents. He added that another work for providing and fixing GI pipes to water supply for Ladah Taki Mohallah in Kupwara has also been approved at a cost of ₹2 lakh, which will help address the drinking water issues faced by the inhabitants of the locality. The AIP spokesperson said that MP Er Rashid continues to focus on addressing basic public needs through MPLADS funds, particularly in rural areas where access to drinking water remains a challenge. Inam Un Nabi expressed hope that the concerned executing agencies will ensure timely completion of these works so that people in the respective areas benefit at the earliest.
