If we were to introspect, every act we do, big or small, calculated, well thought and processed or spontaneous or impulsive are typically the result of our thoughts , traits and habits formed by those repetitive or collective thoughts that eventually have gone on to shape us and all the things we do Wisdom says, the effects of this "action package" (karma) and its consequences are carried over many lifetimes and we continue to pay, reap and experience all of it accordingly, good or bad To make it better, to lessen the burden of the bad that we believe plagues us⬇️ Swami says "You are a heap of thoughts Your thoughts play a vital role in shaping your life That is why you are advised to watch your thoughts and to welcome only good ones Spiritual learning (vidya) stabilises good thoughts in the mind and thus rises to the status of knowledge of the supreme Reality (Atma-vidya)
