Anti-Drug Drive Conducted in Religious Institutions Under ‘Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan’ Poonch, April 19: Continuing its sustained campaign against drug abuse under the ongoing “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan,” Police Station Gursai organized a drug awareness programme in the Gursai area of Poonch district. A comprehensive awareness session was held at Madarsa Dawat-ul-Haq Galhutta, where madrasa students and religious teachers participated actively. During the session, participants were sensitized about the harmful effects of drug addiction, its serious impact on individual health and society, and the legal consequences associated with narcotics abuse and trafficking. Officials from District Police Poonch highlighted the pivotal role of society—particularly youth and religious institutions—in combating the growing menace of drugs. They urged participants to act as ambassadors of change by spreading awareness and promoting a drug-free society, in line with moral and ethical values imparted through religious teachings. District Police Poonch reiterated its firm commitment to eradicating drug abuse and appealed to the general public to extend full cooperation in the collective fight against narcotics.
