No child should ever have to face such trauma, especially from someone in a position of authority. The arrest is just the beginning,there must be strict and swift justice. More importantly, this should serve as a wake-up call for stronger safeguards, better monitoring, and zero tolerance for such behavior in educational institutions. The Sikh community on Tuesday celebrated the festival of Baisakhi with deep religious fervour and traditional enthusiasm at Chatti Padshahi Gurdwara in Baramulla. A large number of devotees thronged Gurdwaras across Kashmir to offer prayers and participate in special religious congregations. The spring festival also witnessed a significant rush in public parks and other public places, reflecting the festive spirit among people. Baisakhi marks the beginning of the solar year and holds great significance for the farming community, especially in Punjab, as it heralds the harvest season of Rabi crops. On the occasion, President GDPC Baramulla, Paramjeet Singh, extended greetings and emphasized the message of peace and prosperity associated with the festival. Among those present were MLA Baramulla,GOC 19 Infantry Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, Shabir Ahmad, and ACR Baramulla, Arshad, who joined the celebrations and conveyed their best wishes to the Sikh community. At the conclusion of the event, the GDPC President expressed gratitude to the district administration for making necessary arrangements and providing all essential facilities for the smooth conduct of the celebrations.
