- The Sikh community on Tuesday celebrated the festival of Baisakhi with deep religious fervour and traditional enthusiasm at Chatti Padshahi Gurdwara in Baramulla. A large number of devotees thronged Gurdwaras across Kashmir to offer prayers and participate in special religious congregations. The spring festival also witnessed a significant rush in public parks and other public places, reflecting the festive spirit among people. Baisakhi marks the beginning of the solar year and holds great significance for the farming community, especially in Punjab, as it heralds the harvest season of Rabi crops. On the occasion, President GDPC Baramulla, Paramjeet Singh, extended greetings and emphasized the message of peace and prosperity associated with the festival.
