ಅಂಬ್ಲಮೊಗರು ಮದಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರ ಜತೆ ಮೀನು ಹಿಡಿಯಲು ಹೋದ ಬಾಲಕ ಸಾವು 16 ವರ್ಷದ ಬಾಲಕನೊಬ್ಬ ಕೆಸರು ನೀರಿಗೆ ಕಾಲು ಜಾರಿ ಬಿದ್ದು ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟ ಘಟನೆ ಉಳ್ಳಾಲ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಕೊಣಾಜೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣಾ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಅಂಬ್ಲಮೊಗರು ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಮದಕ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಶನಿವಾರ ನಡೆದಿದೆ. ಶನಿವಾರ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ ಸುಮಾರು 12 ಗಂಟೆಯ ವೇಳೆಗೆ ಬಾಲಕ ತನ್ನ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿದ ಜಮೀನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೀನು ಹಿಡಿಯಲು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಮೀನು ಹಿಡಿಯುದ ಬಳಿಕ ಕೈ-ಕಾಲು ತೊಳೆಯಲು ಮಣ್ಣು ತುಂಬಿದ ಕೆಸರು ನೀರಿಗೆ ಇಳಿದಾಗ, ಆಕಸ್ಮಿಕವಾಗಿ ನೀರಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದು ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಇದೇ ವೇಳೆ ಇನ್ನೋರ್ವ ಕೂಡ ಜಾರಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದು, ಆತನನ್ನು ಸ್ನೇಹಿತರು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದಿದೆ.

Soraba: Tahsildar Purandara K said that the vachanas of Jagajyoti Basaveshwara — the great humanitarian and social reformer who preached the message of social justice, equal share and equal life for all under the principle of “Kayakave Kailasa” — are eternal. He was speaking while presiding over the Jagajyoti Sri Basaveshwara Jayantyotsava program organized jointly by the taluk administration, various departments, and the Taluk Veerashaiva Samaja at the taluk office auditorium in the town on Monday. Everyone should understand the purpose behind celebrating the birth anniversaries of great souls, he said. In recent times, celebrations of such leaders have been confined to specific communities. However, jayantis are not limited to any one community all such celebrations should benefit humanity. The birth anniversaries of leaders who worked for social reform and national progress, transcending caste, should be celebrated by all communities. In the 12th century, Basavanna united several communities, established the Anubhava Mantapa, and fought against the caste system. Everyone should follow his thoughts and ideals, adopt his principles, and move toward building a strong nation, he added. A portion of one’s earnings should be set aside for the welfare of society. He also noted that there is a High Court order to allot burial grounds to every village, and steps are being taken to allot rudrabhoomi to each village in the taluk. H K Jayasheelagowda, taluk president of the Guarantee Schemes Implementation Committee, said that merely placing a photo and offering worship on the jayanti of great souls is not enough; everyone should come forward to follow their principles and ideals. Basavanna, who worked for the upliftment of humanity, is not confined to any one caste, and he urged the taluk administration to celebrate his jayanti on a grand scale in the coming years. Gurukumar S Patil, president of the Veerashaiva Lingayat Samaja, said that one can remain in people’s memory by achieving success in one’s work and duty. In this regard, the vachanas of Basavanna who established the Anubhava Mantapa in the 12th century and strove to eradicate the caste system serve as a guiding light for us. ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ 39ನೇ ಫಳ್ನೀರ್ ವಾರ್ಡಿನ ಸೆಮಿನರಿ ವೀವ್ 1ನೇ ಅಡ್ಡರಸ್ತೆ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಯು ರೂ. 65 ಲಕ್ಷ ವೆಚ್ಚದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲಿದ್ದು ಶಾಸಕ ವೇದವ್ಯಾಸ ಕಾಮತ್ ರವರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುದ್ದಲಿ ಪೂಜೆ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ನಂತರ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಶಾಸಕರು, ಈ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಗಾಂಧಿ ನಗರ ವಿಕಾಸ ಯೋಜನೆ-1 ನ್ನು ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನಗೊಳಿಸಿ ನೂರಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕೋಟಿ ಅನುದಾನವನ್ನು ಮೀಸಲಿಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ನಂತರ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಮೀಸಲಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದ ಅನುದಾನಕ್ಕೆ ತಡೆ ನೀಡಿತ್ತು. ಇದೀಗ ನಮ್ಮ ಸತತ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನದ ಫಲವಾಗಿ ಹಿಂದಿನ ಅನುದಾನಗಳನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಮಹಾತ್ಮಾ ಗಾಂಧಿ ನಗರ ವಿಕಾಸ ಯೋಜನೆ-2 ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ ಎಂದರು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಜಿತ್ ಡಿಸಿಲ್ವ, ರಮೇಶ್ ಹೆಗ್ಡೆ, ಭರತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, ಸಂದೀಪ್ ಗರೋಡಿ, ರಾಮ್ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್, ಪ್ರವೀಣ್ ನಿಡ್ಡೇಲ್, ನವೀನ್ ಶೆಣೈ, ಗಣೇಶ್, ರೋಹಿದಾಸ್, ರತನ್, ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಪ್ರಮುಖರು, ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು, ಸ್ಥಳೀಯರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
