Gusty Winds Cause Damage to rooftops of Shops and Vehicles in Drangbal Pampore Pampore, Apr 16: Strong gusty winds created panic in the Drangbal area of Pampore on Thursday, causing significant damage to several shops and vehicles. According to local sources, the intense winds blew off rooftops of multiple shops in the area, leaving shopkeepers worried about losses. A couple of vehicles parked nearby were also damaged due to flying debris and falling structures. Eyewitnesses said the winds were sudden and powerful, giving people very little time to react. “The roofs were lifted within minutes, and debris was flying across the area,” a local resident said. Despite the extent of the damage, there have been no reports of loss of life or injuries, which locals have termed as a major relief. Authorities are expected to assess the damage, while residents have urged the administration to provide necessary assistance to affected shopkeepers.
