MLA Javaid Riyaz Bedar Visits GHSS Pattan, Felicitates Toppers and Inaugurates Sports Facilities Akhatar Ali Pattan, April 23: MLA Pattan, Javaid Riyaz Bedar today visited Government Higher Secondary School Pattan, where he attended a felicitation ceremony organized in honour of students who recently excelled in the Class 11th and 12th examinations. During the visit, the MLA congratulated the meritorious students and appreciated their hard work and dedication. He also commended the teaching staff for their continuous efforts in maintaining high academic standards at the institution. On the occasion, Javaid Riyaz Bedar inaugurated “Gulistan-e-Ganine Park” equipped with modern facilities for students. He also inaugurated various sports infrastructure projects within the school premises, including a volleyball court and a badminton court, aimed at promoting physical fitness and extracurricular activities among students. The MLA later interacted with students and staff, taking feedback on the overall educational environment and facilities available at the school. He reviewed the infrastructure and assured that all necessary steps would be taken to further improve the institution. During the program, special emphasis was laid on the “Nasha Mukt Bharat” initiative, which was organized by Municipal Committee (MC) Pattan to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to encourage a drug-free society. Emphasizing the importance of quality education, he stated that the government remains committed to strengthening educational infrastructure and providing better opportunities for students. He assured his continued support for the development and upgradation of the school. Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Pattan, Executive Engineer (R&B), Block Development Officer (BDO) Pattan, and several other officials were also present on the occasion. The visit concluded with appreciation from the school administration and students for the MLA’s proactive approach towards education and youth development in the constituency.
