Exit Poll: Chhattisgarh 2023 | छत्तीसगढ़ चुनाव एग्जिट पोल | Chhattisgarh Opinion Poll
Exit Polls are one the most discussed topics that you may hear when elections are near. These exit polls reflect major details about the election results and the public opinion attitude towards a political party/candidate. It can be identified that election polls are more of a prediction or assumption being made on several related factors. Believing the exit poll results are just a matter of fact, as depending on the situation it may prove to be true or not.
Let’s check on the results of the exit polls that were conducted in Chhattisgarh ahead of the 2023 elections. Chhattisgarh Assembly has 90 seats for which the major contesting parties are BJP, Congress, and Ajit Jogi-Mayawati-led alliance. The dates finalized for elections in Chhattisgarh are 7th November for 20 seats and 17th November 2023 for the remaining 70 seats. As per the sources, it is expected to be a tough battle between the ruling INC and the BJP in the state. To win the majority there is a need to win a minimum of 46 seats in Chhattisgarh.
Several exit polls represent different results, with Congress and BJP standing in the midst, out of which anyone can secure a majority mark. As per the exit polls, out of 90 seats, Congress is expected to have a slighter higher chance with an expected seat share of 45% followed by BJP with 43% and the rest may be concurred by others.
Not only the Congress and BJP but also Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP is entering into the electoral fight in the state. However, the exit polls reflect a negligible impact of the party in the state with a majority of votes aligned towards the BJP and INC. It is expected that Chhattisgarh is expected to receive a 76% voter turnout in the 2023 elections.
This election is considered to be interesting as in 2018, BJP lost its fourth continuous term in the state. Hence, this election the return of BJP would hold great value for the party and its hold in the state. Also, in 2018 despite being the ruling party, BJP was only able to secure 15 seats whereas Congress won a majority with 68 seats. Hence, the BJP is planning every hard possible to regain their position as the ruling party in Chhattisgarh.
