Putting an end to the suspense surrounding the Chief Ministerial candidate in Madhya Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) sealed Mohan Yadav's candidacy in a unanimous decision during the legislative party meeting. Earlier, the party had entrusted the responsibility of selecting the Chief Minister to supervisors Manohar Lal Khattar, Dr. Ke Laxman, and Asha Lakda. With their presence, the decision to finalize Mohan Yadav's name was made in the meeting held on Monday.

Mohan Yadav represents the Ujjain South constituency in the state assembly. Additionally, the state is expected to have two Deputy Chief Ministers, with Jagdish Devda and Rajesh Shukla being the names under consideration. Jagdish Devda is an MLA from Malhargarh, while Rajesh Shukla represents the Riva constituency. The announcement also includes Narendra Singh Tomar's nomination for the position of Speaker
