Rajasthan Election 2023 Results: BJP Wins, Congress Loses
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the Rajasthan Assembly Election 2023, beating the Congress party. The BJP won 115 seats in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, while the Congress won only 69 seats.
This is a big setback for the Congress party, which has been in power in Rajasthan for five years. Both Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Congress leader Sachin Pilot won their elections, but this was not enough to save the party.
Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje won her election, showing that the BJP is still very popular in Rajasthan.
The Election Commission declared the final results on December 3, 2023. This was the end of a long and bitter election campaign.
The election was full of drama, including a paper leak scandal, fighting within the Congress party, and insults between the two main parties. The results of the exit polls on November 30 did not show which party would win, so it was a very close race.
With this win, the BJP is now in control of Rajasthan again. This is a big change for the state.
