The Rajasthan assembly elections were taking place on November 24 but due to some serious reasons, they were postponed on November 25. The counting will be done on December 3. The reasons for delaying the polling day were extensive weddings and some internal events in Rajasthan. Due to these reasons, the number of voters could be turned out lesser. Also, the concern arises when potential inconveniences and logistical hurdles were there along with the assembly elections in other states including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, and Telangana.

Almost everyone knows that it is a clear battle between the two strongest parties that are Indian Congress and the Bhartiya Janta Party. You cannot deny the fact that Rajasthan has a record of 30 years of never repeating its ruling party. In 2008, Congress claimed victory with 98 seats over BJP with 78 seats. On the other end, BJP defeated Congress by a huge margin in 2013. BJP got 163 seats leaving Congres with 21 seats only.
-
The shift happened again in 2018. The anti-incumbency sentiment of the present government of that time led to the defeat of the incumbent BJP government helmed by Vasundhara Raje. The other party Congress, led jointly by Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot won with 100 seats and claimed the ruling seat of Rajasthan. The defeat was not as brutal as Congress had last time. Still, the margin was good because the BJP had only 79 constituencies in 2018.
-
It is not just the Congress and the BJP that dominate the electoral landscape of Rajasthan. Smaller parties and individual candidates were also in the spotlight. There were 13 independent candidates in the mix, six from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), three from the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP), two from the Communist Party of India (Marxist), one from the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) and two . of the party. The Bharatiya Tribal Party (BTP) secured victories by diversifying its membership and composition.
-
Rajasthan has a total of 200 constituencies and almost 80% of voters are expected to vote this year. If we consider the electoral history of Rajasthan then it is very difficult to say who will be the next ruling party. The countdown will begin after December 3. The fortune of Rajasthan will be decided by the people themselves so let us see how the will turns or current party keeps ruling.
