All About North Indian Restaurants In Kolayat

It is always a feast of aromas, flavors and delicacies if you step into the world of North Indian Restaurants. This cuisine offers a variety of dishes and experiences for the rich culinary heritage of North India. 

Starters: 

• Paneer Tikka - Cubes of paneer with yogurt and spices are marinated and grilled until they are slightly charred and smoky flavored. This dish is often served with mint chutney.

• Butter Chicken - Butter chicken or Murgh Makhani is the most loved dish in North Indian Cuisine and originated in Delhi. This dish features chicken marinated with yogurt and spices which is cooked with tomato puree by adding the flavorful spices to enhance the taste with a rich touch of butter and cashews. It usually goes well with naan and rice. 
• Rogan Josh - Rogan Josh is popular for the tenderness of the meat. The lamp is cooked slowly with a mixture of yogurt, garlic, spices and Kashmiri red chilies until it attains tenderness and succulent texture.   
• Palak Paneer - A nutritious and vibrant dish that is cooked with blanched palak spinach sauce with paneer and spices, usually served with rotis and kulchas. 

Breads and Sides:

• Naan - A traditional North Indian flatbread known for its soft, fluffy texture with charred flavor. It is made out of all purpose flour and topped with butter, and garlic.
• Roti - Rotis are also flatbreads similar to naan which is made out of wheat flour. It is a staple North Indian food that almost pairs with any dish.

Rice Dishes:

• Briyani -  A fragrant and flavorful dish with long grained rice, and whole spices,  is cooked with meat, paneer or vegetables. It is usually served with raita. 
• Jeera Rice - Jeera rice is a rice dish cooked with basmati rice along with cumin seeds and condiments. A flavorful rice keeps it subtle with very less ingredients in it.  

Desserts:

• Gulab Jamun - A dark brown circle shaped dessert fried in ghee or oil with the richness of guava and all purpose flour with flavors of cardamom and saffron soaked in sugar syrup.
• Jelabi - A crispy hot and sweet in taste dessert with appetizing orange color fried in ghee and soaked in sugar syrup with a touch of saffron.
