Ramcharan Bohra
Introduction
Ramcharan Bohra is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, has been serving as a prominent Indian politician representing the Jaipur constituency of Rajasthan in the Lok Sabha since 2014.
Early Life and Education
Ramcharan Bohra was born on 1 July 1956 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. He completed his education up to the higher secondary level. He is married to Lalita Bohra. The couple has two children.
Political Career
In 1983, Ramcharan Bohra became a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. From 1995 to 2000, he held the position of Zilla Pramukh in Jaipur district. On 17 May 2014, Bohra achieved a significant milestone by winning the Lok Sabha election from the Jaipur constituency as a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He won by a substantial margin of approximately 539000 votes, defeating his closest rival Mahesh Joshi of the Indian National Congress. Notably, Bohra obtained the largest victory margin in Rajasthan. Bohra actively participated in parliamentary committees and engaged in legislative discussions. In the 2019 elections, he was renominated by his party and emerged victorious for the second time defeating his opponent Jyoti Khandelwal from the Congress party by a margin of 430,626 votes.
