Ravi Kishan

Introduction
Ravi Kishan Shukla is an Indian actor, politician, film producer, and television personality. He holds the esteemed position of Member of Parliament representing Gorakhpur. Ravi Kishan has made notable contributions to Bhojpuri, Hindi and Telugu cinema while also making appearances in select Kannada and Tamil films.
Early life and Education
Ravi Kishan was born on July 17, 1969, in Bombay, Maharashtra. He is the youngest among five siblings. He has done schooling education. Originally from Kerakat in the Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh, Ravi Kishan spent approximately seven years of his life there. On December 10, 1993, he tied the knot with Priti Shukla, and together they have been blessed with four children, including one son and three daughters. Ravi Kishan's daughter, Riva Kishan, made her film debut in 2020 with the movie "Sab Kushal Mangal."
Political Career
Ravi Kishan embarked on his political journey by joining the Indian National Congress (INC) from the Jaunpur constituency in Uttar Pradesh. In the 2014 general elections, he contested for a seat but received 42,759 votes, which accounted for 4.25% of the total votes, resulting in a 6th place finish. However, in February 2017, Ravi Kishan decided to part ways with the Congress Party and instead joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). During the 2019 General Election, Ravi Kishan was nominated by the BJP to represent Gorakhpur. He went head-to-head against the Samajwadi Party candidate, Rambhual Nishad, in the Gorakhpur constituency of Uttar Pradesh. In a resounding victory, Ravi Kishan secured over 3,01,664 votes more than his opponent. With a total of 7,17,122 votes, he emerged triumphant, while Rambhual Nishad received 4,15,458 votes.
